Central African Republic Gets a Female President

We have a new female president in Africa to celebrate. Catherine Samba-Panza, President of the Central African Republic,  Catherine was running against 7 other candidates among whom two were women and two were sons of former presidents. And get this..she was just a mayor before…

She took oath yesterday thursday 23rd January, pledging to bring peace and unity to the country...she was sworn in a Bright Orange skirt and a matching peplum blouse!! I already love her sense of style!
"From today, I am the president of all Central Africans," declared Catherine Samba-Panza in a manner that left no doubt that she meant what she said. "I appeal to each and every one of you to help rebuild our fatherland," she said immediately after being elected interim president of the Central African Republic.
We pray the lady can bring back peace to Central African Republic which has been experiencing political unrest and inter-religious violence for more than a year.
