Size Zero Models Banned, Leading Fashion brand pledge to use normal size models to showcase their clothes...well..this year ends with a bang..being skinny becomes no more fashionable...waddaya know
Gucci, Celine, Louis Vuitton and Dior are among brands who have pledged to abandon size zero models. The promise forms part of a new charter created by luxury conglomerates LVMH and Kering who own numerous luxury fashion houses.
In addition, the charter pledged to make a dedicated psychologist or therapist available during working time."We have the responsibility of building new standards for fashion and we hope to be followed by other players in our sector," said Antoine Arnault, an LVMH director.- BBC Reports
 Size zero models in the fashion world have been a pain to many, since the death of Luisel Ramos(On August 2, 2006, at 9:15 p.m., Ramos died of heart failure caused by anorexia nervosa while participating in a fashion show during Fashion Week in MontevideoUruguay. Ramos had felt ill after walking the runway and subsequently fainted on her way back to the dressing room. She died at the age of 22. Ramos' father told police that she had gone "several days" without eating. She was reported to have adopted a diet of lettuce and Diet Coke for the three months before her death) August 2006 designers opted to use normal size girls and brands like Top Shop   Armani, Versace and Prada  began the ban long time ago.
